Golly Gee!

Boy oh boy, have I been "MIA" lately! I have A TON of updates for you. (It may be a long post today, so sit back, relax, and pretend like you're paying attention!)

The first matter I'm going to address, our new desk. I have (literally) been slacking in posting pictures. (I am sorry for the late late late post!) We have been 'up and running' with our new desk, for about two weeks! I Looove it! We also made two matching wall units.
Here are a few pictures:

Moving on, our Easter was great. We spent it with family and friends! For our Easter dinner (with my hubbys family) I made a cake pop "flower" arrangement. (Sadly I forgot to take pictures, it seems to happen EVERY time I make cake pops. Still no pictures.) I made a few of the Easter gifts for the youngins, along with cards. The night before Easter, is when we colored eggs. (We only did 8, since the hubs doesn't eat them!)
Here are a few pictures:

Next order of business, a few weeks back my hubby "came up" with the idea of making candles! He had to DRAG ME, AGAINST MY WILL  stop me from buying everything else I wanted too, at the craft store. Of course, we've never done this before but we will only get better with time. It was fun! (Yes, Kyle picked out the colors, and no he's not a Bears fan!)
Here are a few pictures:

Right now, I'm painting what is going to be a clock. If all turns out, it will be black with blue numbers. (Also glow in the dark hands, and numbers.) I can't wait!

**I will try again tomorrow, to upload pictures for this post. It was having problems uploading tonight. Of course, just my luck.**

and so it is!
XOXO
Have a great "hump day" everyone!

Egg Swap!

Meagan from A Little Twig Birdhouse, had an AWESOME swap for this past holiday. The swap was not your "typical" swap, this was an Easter Egg Swap! (How fun is that?!) It will be fun to see who made what! (For those that missed the deadline, lets hope she hosts again for next year!)

I had the honor to swap eggs with Meagan. As for myself, I had a blast making a giant egg for her. (I hope she enjoys it!) I LOVE the egg she made for me, check it out for yourself!

Cute, right?!

I hope everyone had a "hoppy" and "egg-citing" Easter Day! (Corny, I know!!)

and So it Is!
XOXO

LaDeDa!

My how plans can change, so quickly! We had planned to go to garage sales this morning, but the weather had other plans. (It was raining!) So instead, we ventured out to Goodwill again this weekend! (Just as good as a garage sale!) Just like last Saturday, we found some good amazing deals! Some items we collected today: wrapping paper, styrofoam balls (tons and tons), a twig wreath, and a few board games (Trouble being one of them!). I have already put the twig wreath to good use!

My darlin' sweet boy, hurt his leg today. (Probally due to playing rough with his brother!) With the help of momma and dadda and a hot compress, he was walking on his leg. (He decided he needed some rest) When I went in to check on him, a few minutes later, this is what I found! (Oh so cute, they just break my heart!)

I finished a few other select craft projects, mostly for Easter. I also worked on my (top secret) egg some more. I really should get on some St. Patty's decorations, before Easter. (We only have a few for St. Pat's!) OHH Well! That's how the craftin' life goes! Here's some sneak peak pictures, for your amusement!

(Above: is a sticky note holder I made, today! To go with my new desk!)

Spending time with my family the rest of the night, we hope to get last minute touches done on our new desk tomorrow. (Then we can start the painting!) WOO-HOO! I hope everyone has a great night! We will check back in tomorrow!

All in a days work.

Today being my half day at work I was able to get alot done! Much like last week, I came home cleaned the entire house, made a salad for lunch tomorrow with croutons, and homemade peanut butter/ chocolate cookies! I was declared as the "best wife in the world!" (Who are we kidding, we all know that!) Upon Kyle getting home from work, he cleaned the cat and bunny (change litter pans, fresh water/food) like he does almost everyday. After showering and getting changed, we were headed out to eat and a quick trip to the store.

We decided on Panera Bread for dinner, I love their soup and chips (who doesn't?) Kyle had a sandwich that was new to him, but he liked it (what doesn't he like?)!
Then it was off to the three stores that we needed to go to, it was nice being out shopping when it was daylight! (Normally it's after five thirty, because I don't get off work till four.)

I wanted to share a few of the things I crafted over the weekend!

A mini album, we received from Archivers,
but with our own twist on them!

An inside peek, of one of the pages!

These were the two make and take cards
at Archiver's this weekend!

I also managed to finish my latest project, my Easter Egg Tree!!!
I love it, and I think it turned out wonderful!
(With a few minor adjustments to the original plan.)
Here it is:

(if you look closely, there is tiny eggs and baby chicks!)

Happy Crafting! Ta-Ta for now!

Over.

The weekend has yet again, come and GONE! Why is it the week seems to drag on, the weekend comes, and it's over in the blink of an eye? Don't get me wrong, I am greatful to have a job, a roof over my head, and a wonderful family to spend my weekends with! Of course greatful, to let my mind create with my hands!

In regards to yesterday's post, I was able to find eggs for my latest project! Although I'm still in the process of painting/glueing them into place. Hopefully soon enough, my project will be done and I will be able to post pictures!

I need to think of some more ideas for St. Patty's Day! I don't have very many decorations for the "smaller" holidays, now is time to fix that!

Here are a few versions of what I have done with some cheap plastic eggs:

Glittery tissue paper Easter Eggs.

Mod podged Easter Eggs.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a wonderful week ahead!
Time to put down the glue gun, paper, and wood for another week of work!
Until next time blog world!

Stuck in the middle.

My mom went in for surgery, yesterday, she's already home (as of three o'clock this afternoon) and doing GREAT compared to the last time she had this surgery! She can talk, without sounding like Minnie Mouse, she can even eat, without choking! We're hoping she heals faster and easier, this time around! She will be in our prayers, for a speedy recovery! We love you mom!

On a lighter (but more annoying) note, I've been painting and swirling cardboard eggs for a few hours total. Once they were all dry and ready to be put to use, I started to glue them into place! Until, I got stuck in the MIDDLE with NO MORE EGGS! Hobby Lobby doesn't have anymore in stock, now I NEED to find somewhere that has some, that are the same size I've been using, so I can finish my latest and greatest project! (I'm pretty excited about it!) Until then, there will be no pictures! (Sorry!)

I did manage to finish a few other (quick and easy) projects for Easter and St. Patty's Day!

Wooden St. Patty's Blocks

Wooden Cross

Wooden Easter Blocks

Bunny Clay Pot

I sure do feel accomplished and proud of my work, when I get to share it with you!
Blogging my "pieces of art" also helps me to think of new ideas, and to document my crafts with pictures! I'm sure starting to like the whole "blog" idea!
