Whoaza!

Hello Blog World! I fell off the face of the Earth for awhile, but I'm Baaaack!

This summer has been very hectic for us, I feel like I'm always all over the place!
Wish I could say we've been really productive with our days, but mostly we've just been relaxing at home enjoying eachother's company! Hey, I can't complain about that!

Our garden this year, is out of control with tomatoes! We have also had alot of broccoli, peppers, lettuce, beans, and sunflowers (no seeds, we don't think there was enough sun for them!) It's crazy how quickly a "garden" can become a "jungle"!

This summer I've been making alot of "Snapple Iced Tea Lemonade" and for not liking iced tea, it tastes pretty darn good!

Both the hubs and me took a day off to go to the Zoo, I'm sure we'll go again in the Fall. (I love to see all the beautiful colors!) All and all it was a fun day.

Being able to get close enough, without the butterfly moving, these shots are awesome!

I had been looking for a mirror for our living room, got one for FREE and refinished the wood framing! It fits perfect!

My mom, my sister and her boyfriends family, and I all went to the Rascal Flatts concert this past weekend. In the middle of the concert, my sister's boyfriend pulled out a ring! Yes, they got engaged! We want to wish them the best with many many years to enjoy together, and we give them all of our love!

I have made a few cards here and there this summer, a few were for my mom. (Some I didn't get pictures of either.)

Our bathroom vanity got a major makeover this summer, and we love it! It went from dark and blah, to bright and fab-U-lous!

We went to the Wisconsin State Fair, with my hubs family in August. We stayed the night up there, and ended up at the Jelly Belly Factory the next day, on our way home!

Our house is already looking like Fall, I just couldn't help myself and started decorating on Monday. Maybe it's wishful thinking, if I put the Fall decorations up, Fall with come sooner?! Who knows, I just know I love the fresh crisp air and beautiful Fall leaves!

I am working on a small Halloween project, but need still need to find time to finish that one! Also, me and the hubs are building a "hutch" for our kitchen, stay tuned for the finished project!

We ended up with a ton of stuff, after doing some "Fall" cleaning (if you will) that we decided to have a garage sale. I will post a "how to" on garage sale do's and don'ts, after next weekend!

I hope everyone has had a great summer, and is ready for FAll! Fresh crisp air, apple pie, chili, warm apple cider! (you have to admit it gives you warm feelings when you think about it!)

Typical Tuesday

Helloooo blog-world! Long time no see type!
What has everyone been up to??

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! (Although, hubby and myself had to work in the morning.) We still had a sun filled, pool splashing, cook-out kind of weekend! We had everyone (minus one of my sisters) over to our house last night for dinner, stuffed shells, MMmmM!

Okay, lets rewind to last Thrusday night. When me and my sister went to see, Chris Daughtry!! It was a great concert! (I may or may not have lost my voice and hearing, half way through the concert!) Here are a few snapshots from the concert:

I spent my saturday morning, going to garage sales, as usual. Then the rest of the day lounging in the pool. (Which could be why, I still have a bit of sunburn on my shoulders!) I have to learn to re-apply the sun tan lotion!

Sunday we had a family cookout, and made smore's. ( Yumm-o! I can't get enough of those!)

Last, but most def. not least! I have news for you, we have a new addition to our family! Meet, Enzo! (Isn't he just the cutest thing ever!)

A few weeks ago, I ordered some all natural household cleaners. I have to say, I am very impressed! I LOVE these products! You can visit the website here, if you'd like!

This is a recipe for raspberry lemonade that I MUST try!!

I got a few more "cake decorating" supplies, from my mom this weekend. I am hoping to try them out sometime this week or weekend! (Don't worry, pictures to be posted when I do!)

I haven't been doing very many crafts lately. I did finish one (but apparently haven't taken any pictures, yet!) I do have a few projects that I want need to finish this week. (If not, then this weekend!)

We are going to try and get out as much as we can, this week to enjoy the nice weather! (As long as it's not too hot and humid!)

Monday.

Helloooo there! I hope all you Mother's had a GREAT Mother's Day, and a WONDERFUL weekend! We went out to breakfast with my family, and out to hubby's mom's house for lunch. I have managed to take (a few) before (and after) pictures, of my latest crafting endeavors. Stick around for the pictures, later in the post.

For my sister's birthday, I made her a homemade banana cake (her favy!) Me and hubs also gifted her a bracelet and necklace. We had a family dinner to celebrate, it's tradition.

A few weekends ago, my mom and I went to garage sales around town. I found this fab lamp, in need of some TLC. I'm lovin' it's new vibe!

My mom's, Mother's Day gift from us. I thought mom's gift was funny, yet practical for my dad! (It should help, with the whole "walking on eggshells" thing, hahaha!)

I am so in LOVE with these new necklaces I've been making! (Can you tell, I've been feelin' the blue color, lately?!) Here's a picture of one of them:

This is a picture of my new paint holder, it sits on my craft counter.
I don't have a picture of the "before" (I know, sorry!) but I can tell you, it was a hunter green that was bubbled and just plain yucky!

We had a great weekend, spent with family and good food! It's only Monday, but I hope this week goes by quickly and smooth for everyone!

Ta-Ta for now!

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

and so it is.

We had another successful trip to Goodwill today! We decided last minute when we were out and about today, that we would stop over at Goodwill. Only to come home, and find that our little boys escaped from the hallway. (Needless to say, they got themselves into a bit of trouble.) Anyway, by the time we got home we were starving. Luckily I pulled out chicken, last night. Whipped up some of my yummy deep fried chicken, baked potatoes, and cheesy biscuits. Yummmy! We just bought a new car, and got everything switched over today. (yay!)

There hasn't been much crafting going on in this house lately. By the time I get home from work, I'm too tired to do anything.

Here are a few pictures of what's been happening in our house lately:

My little babies, are pretty sleepy too! (How you ask? Since they sleep ALL day!)
I hope to get some crafting done, soon. But for now, it's resting with my family!

Love and laughter, forever after!

and so it is!

Simple.

Have you ever started something, and half way, you think to yourself "what did i get myself into?" That's what I'm thinking right about now (which is the reason why I'm taking a break) I decided this morning it would be easy enough to go through and sort all of the recipes I have collected. HA! Do you know how much time it takes to re-write A TON of recipes? So I started cutting, and taping instead. It's not "the look" I was going for, but as long as it does the job! I also came across a few recipes I had forgotten about, time to get cookin'! (Now, hopefully that will not happen again, since they're all organized!) Yes, slowly but surely our organization redo is coming to an end!

Our new desk, is finally up and running! You know what's even better? I LOVE It (and not to mention, the color!) We still have a few more things in mind to build to go with the desk, to help with the organization part. (It will all come in time.) We also rearranged our living room, I like the way it looks now. It also seems like we have a little more room too. (It always seems that way, until you get used to it.) I will be back, to post pictures of our new desk later today. (As soon as I take a few pictures.)

Today, my hubby is at work. My plan for this morning was to go back to bed, and sleep in. But then I decided I would tackle (the previously stated) project  of organzing all of my recipes. (Who was I kidding?) I plan on tackling a few things around the house, and then head over to my mom's. You see, we just purchased another car, so I am going over there to put on the new seat covers and steering wheel cover that we bought yesterday! We still have yet to get to the currency exchange to switch everything over, hopefully today if hubby gets home in time, otherwise it will have to wait a few more days. (We're used to it.)

The weather has been fairly nice lately. (Minus the few cold days, we've had.) So, we try to get out with the dogs, and take them for a walk. They love being outside, in the fresh air.

I'm starting to feel hungry. So, I'm off to cook and bake a few things(hopefully)!
Have a great day!

Friday, March 12, 2010

Ahhh.

For dinner tonight, it was each man (in my case woman) for himself (herself). Kyle got lucky, my dad brought him leftover burgers (buns and all). I had cereal and a chocolate bar for dessert. (What happened to healthy? We gotta get rid of what we have first. Who throws away a perfectly good candy bar?)

Tomorrow, we are going to garage sale (yep I said it, garage sale!) that must mean warmer weather is upon us! Hopefully we will find some good sales.

Tonight, I've been working on a few Easter crafts. (Did I finish my desk?) Of course not, I can't finish one thing without starting ten others first! (We all know how that goes!) I did however start my (top secret) Egg for the Easter Egg swap over at A Little Twig Birdhouse! (I can't wait to swap eggs with you, Maegan!)

Time to get back to craftin' I will post pictures when I have finished a few more projects! I will leave you with these pictures for now, last night after my shower I came out of the bathroom to find this:

Two of our darlin' babies! Mokah (St. Bernard/Black lab mix) and Bandit (Min Pin)
Sibling love, how cute!

Update.

MMmM. Cereal at nine o'clock at night, probally not a very wise choice. (I know, eating before bed is a no no!) An even bigger no no is eating again, after a delicious dinner. Kyle and I are calling it "dessert"! Hey, can you blame us? We've been working hard on that new desk of ours! (Only a few minor details left, then I can start painting!) I picked out the color yesterday, and I am READY for this project to be DONE! It will be nice for everything on our desk, to have it's very own home. Can't wait to scratch this off of  the "organization redo" list!

I have to say, I really haven't had any time to do any other crafting this week. Maybe I will be able to squeeze some crafting time into the weekend. (That is unless the weather's nice!) I can't wait for Spring to come, all the cold and snow is wearing on me. This weather has got to go, I am always sleepy, cold, and all I want to do is stay in our house, in our warm and cozy bed. Plus, when Summer comes we can start our garden again! (We just love all the fresh fruits and veggies!) YUMMO!

We were asked tonight, to be the godparents to my sisters second baby! We are godparents to her first baby as well. We are greatful and happy to add this title to our names. (again!) We love the little guys! (We love lil' johnny too!)

I decided the other day, I want to start eating healthier. Not just me, but us. Our house has always been free of "junk foods" and pop. We generally eat pretty healthy, it's just getting all of our meals to have veggies. Drinking more milk, is what I need to do as well. Dang. I was doing so good there for awhile. (I always get on these health kicks, it's now time for our family to cut out ALL of the bad!)

This week went by fairly fast. Having my half day on Tuesday, and taking off work two hours early on Wednesday, may have something to do with that! (We plan on taking a few days off soon, just to have a break from it all!) Needless to say thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Alrighty, it is time for some much needed rest! Goodnight all!

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

What comes to mind.

Is there really any rhyme or reason to a fitted sheet? I mean come on, those things are so dang hard to put on, let alone FOLD one! I encounter this problem every Tuesday, today being Tuesday was one of those days. Needless to say I gave up and just put a regular sheet on our bed, instead of a fitted. This is what I plan to do from now on.
The other night, hubby and I started to make our new desk! Yes, very exciting and overwhelming all in one! (There are so many pieces, it’s hard to figure out what goes where!) We have the base of both file cabinets done, not including the shelves for each. We hope to work on this project the rest of the afternoon, I have very HIGH hopes of finishing this project today! (We’ll see!)
The weather has been pretty decent lately, lets hope it stays that way! I am ready for SPRING! Now that we’re on the topic of Spring, I will be cleaning out another major mess this week for “organization redo”! This project, is what we call our “storage hallway”!
Time to get crackin’! Have a great day everyone!

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Score!

Lets start by saying, today's weather was BEAUTIFUL! We woke up around seven o'clock this morning, and started the day off by sanding the rest our new side table. Put the first coat of stain, and then LEFT to go SHOPPING! We traveled from one Goodwill store to the next Goodwill store! (Might I add we found some GREAT deals!) Including a PINK Wii remote, a few select craft items, and a STORAGE OTTOMAN! (Major scores, this helped with our "garage sale" fever!)

Hubby and I had a great day, we got out of the house, and got some FRESH air! (It was much needed!) Today couldn't have been better! I love spending quality relaxing time with Kyle. For dinner, we grilled out with my parents and sister. (Almost like Summer, ALMOST!)

We went out Friday night and got all the wood, and supplies we will need to start the desk. We haven't started, yet. I mean can you blame us? It was SO nice to get out of the house, and shop with my hubs! It will all come in time. (If we can ever keep up with time, because it keeps running away from us!)

For now all is said and done. We are going to put the new fabric on the inside of the storage ottoman, yes, at nine thirty at night! (It had a minor rip on the inside fabric, nothing we can't handle!)

Ta Ta for now!
Have a great weekend all!

Office.

I have BIG dreams, for our office space "organization redo"! I have picked out the plan of the desk along with a plan for a wall mount storage system, that we will be building! (Hopefully, starting this weekend?!) Ask and you shall receive? Lets see, I will also need to collect some cork/metal/whiteboard/drawer hardware/and stain. This is going to be great! (I'm so lucky to have such a helpful, handy man!)

Today we had broccoli, rice, and chicken casserole for dinner along with buttered bread. It was yummay! Leftovers are for lunch, tomorrow! (Of course leftovers, I always cook for an army!) Hehe. Tomorrow Kyle will be having corndogs for dinner, as for me it will be pasta salad! (Since I don't eat meat, except for chicken!)

I had no time for crafting today, sadly! Lets hope I will be more motivated and have a little more time tomorrow. I am also trying to storm up some ideas, for decorating our bedroom. (Maybe something with a little more color?) Color is good, if you didn't know color is the new black.

Hoping to hit the sack, early tonight! I'm out for now, be back tomorrow!
Have a good night and a great day tomorrow!

Lucky.

Another day, another blog entry. Today seemed to drag on, and on. Much like the whole week. (It's only wednesday, seriously?) Lately, it feels like my calenders and clocks have been switched out, this year is flying by and someone keeps stealing time from me! (Don't they know not to mess with me? Or I might get out my handy dandy glue gun!) With time zooming by, I feel like there's not enough time in the day, to go to work, make dinner, play with the dogs, spend quality time with my hubby, and craft! (Hubby said I was "the best wife in the world" not "superwoman"!) So therefore I am going to have to schedule my time better. (Make trips to the store once a week instead of what seems like every day, plan ahead on meals for dinner, etc.) I will figure out the perfect system to keep everything organized for us. (Including bills, tv remotes, food in the pantry, my crafting stuff, etc.) It is also time to start the SPRING cleaning! (I've been wanting to tackle our storage bins for awhile now!)

On to my crafty side; hubby and I will be re-doing a side table we got from a friend. (Hopefully in the near future, i.e. this weekend?) I will post pictures once we start to tackle our project.
We do not have very many St. Patty's Day decorations, and I saw something similar to this at the store a few weeks back. (It wasn't made out of canvas and wood letters, I used what I had laying around, but you get the idea!)

Goodbye for now, Until next time!

All in a days work.

Today being my half day at work I was able to get alot done! Much like last week, I came home cleaned the entire house, made a salad for lunch tomorrow with croutons, and homemade peanut butter/ chocolate cookies! I was declared as the "best wife in the world!" (Who are we kidding, we all know that!) Upon Kyle getting home from work, he cleaned the cat and bunny (change litter pans, fresh water/food) like he does almost everyday. After showering and getting changed, we were headed out to eat and a quick trip to the store.

We decided on Panera Bread for dinner, I love their soup and chips (who doesn't?) Kyle had a sandwich that was new to him, but he liked it (what doesn't he like?)!
Then it was off to the three stores that we needed to go to, it was nice being out shopping when it was daylight! (Normally it's after five thirty, because I don't get off work till four.)

I wanted to share a few of the things I crafted over the weekend!

A mini album, we received from Archivers,
but with our own twist on them!

An inside peek, of one of the pages!

These were the two make and take cards
at Archiver's this weekend!

I also managed to finish my latest project, my Easter Egg Tree!!!
I love it, and I think it turned out wonderful!
(With a few minor adjustments to the original plan.)
Here it is:

(if you look closely, there is tiny eggs and baby chicks!)

Happy Crafting! Ta-Ta for now!

Clean.Shower.Salad.Eggs.

This morning started out like any other: get up, get dressed, feed the dogs, go to work. One of the highlights was that it was my half day at work, and I had many things that I wanted to get done. I left work a little after twelve o'clock, while arriving home I took the dogs out first thing, then decided I would tackle the "whole house" cleaning. As of now everything is done, except for mopping the tile floors. Plus I also was able to change the sheets, clip the dogs nails, take a shower, make a salad for our lunch tomorrow, make croutons, and hard boil some eggs!

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my hubby to get home, then we're gonna head out to the craft store! YEAH! As I mentioned before, I had many things I wanted to get done, and my crafting had a major part in that, so far I have not been able to scratch anything off my "craft to do list"!

As soon as I can get my eyes away from the computer, I will feed the dogs, and figure out what to make for dinner. (I could take out the trash, so my hubby doesn't have to do it, we'll see!)

It's goodbye for now, I'm sure I wont be able to stay away from the computer for too long!

Your Valentine, will soon appear!

Kyle and I had a mini date last night, watching Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.
(Which turned out to be a cute movie!) For dinner we had egg sandwiches, chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, and milk. (We love breakfast for dinner!)
"Love and laughter, forever after!"

Today, Kyle's Valentine's Day gifts are underway, I will post pictures when all is said and done!
"All will go well, with your new project!"
I've been using alot of new techniques and ideas, for my crafty Valentine!
"Now is the time, to try something new!"

I better get back to crafting, I foresee the end of my many crafting projects!

(Hint: I gave you a few fortunes, can you guess part of Kyle's gift?)

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Love is in the air.

Last night, I decided to make deep fried chicken, garlic bread, seasoned broccoli, and baked potatoes! YUM! We had a relaxing night at home, with our three babies!

Dad went in for his knee surgery today, so far everything is going good! The doc. said he will be out for two months, who does he think he's kidding? We all now that dad, of all people won't listen to the doc's orders! Mom goes in for her surgery on the 19th, we'll see if she can comply with the doc's orders!

I made delicous egg sandwiches, for dinner! (Kyle also had sausage, yuck!) I made Kyle join me on another trip to the craft store. Everytime I tell him it will only be a few things, we don't need a basket, he ends up with his arms filled with "just one more" things! (He must really love me, that's okay I really love him too!)
I've been making things for Valentine's Day, since we have only a few select decorations. Today I'm working on a hanging 4 tier heart, pictures to come later.
I think I figured out what Kyle will be getting for Valentine's Day, from me! (a.k.a. sweetheart!) You will just have to wait, until I finish it. This shouldn't take long, considering I don't have much time, to wrap things up!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Life.

There is a snowstorm underway, falling at about a half inch every hour. For as much as we are getting, the plows are keeping up with the whirlwind of snow. I'm thankful to be out of the cold and wind, in our warm and cozy house! Now, that I'm home from work (and my hubby will not be home for another 45 min.) I'm going to carpet clean our living room, it needs to be done, and hasn't been done for awhile. (Sorry babe, I know you've been asking me to carpet clean for a few weeks now!) Afterwards, I plan on "getting down" with some crafting! YEAH! I'm still deciding on what to make/ get Kyle for Valentine's Day. We do have a generous gift card for "Lettuce Entertain You" restaurants, maybe we could put that to use, in the near future!

As far as the rest of the night, nothing is planned until nine o'clock when our television show comes on. I can tell, it's going to be one of those nights when I'm scrambling at 5:30 to figure out what's for dinner! (I know, get off the computer and you will have plenty of time! HA!)

Habits.

Kyle has recently started back up with his yo-yo tricks, he’s planning on learning at least one a week. So far we have made two trips out to Toys R Us, so he can find the “right” yo-yo. He also picked up a slinky while we were there, talk about having some “old school” fun!

I have started to pick my crafting habits, back up. Ever since I was young, I always loved to glue, tape, paint, etc. anything I could get my hands on. Lately I have taken to painted wood projects (thanks to my hubby for cutting the wood!) My other “major” projects are being done with the sewing machine! Sewing is coming back to me, slowly, I suppose it’s just like “riding a bike”.

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Typical Sunday Night.

So, Here we are sitting in our living room watching movies, waiting for one
of our favorite television shows to come on at nine o’clock, it’s only eight
twenty. Two of our babies are sprawled out on the couch, Mokah and Bandit,
while Wrigley wanders around trying to find the toy I threw away earlier, due
to them biting pieces off of it. The fish tanks bubbling, while the turtles and other fish are enjoying their late night snack.
Now that we’re done with the movies,
Kyle, has already turned on the Wii, and is playing one of his new addictions,
Zelda. Soon enough he will have beaten that game too! The boys, Wrigley and
Bandit, have already taken their place on to daddy’s lap in the recliner, it’s a ritual for them.
